Avalanche Food Group's Local Restaurants Raise $35,000 to Support Teachers' Classroom Needs; Grants Available Through September 30Houston, TX  (RestaurantNews.comAvalanche Food Group (AFG), owners of 11 Twin Peaks restaurants and Houston’s first Bread Zeppelin restaurant, is giving back to its restaurants’ area schools and inviting local teachers in need of help with classroom supplies to apply for grants provided by AFG before September 30, 2024!

Last month, Avalanche Food Group launched a back-to-school giveback initiative for teachers in all their Twin Peaks communities, hoping to raise $25,000 to help ensure educators and their students have the classroom necessities they need for success this school year.  All 11 AFG Twin Peaks locations, nine in Texas and two in Indiana, along with Bread Zeppelin in Houston, participated in the effort throughout the month of August, raising a total of $35,578 for classroom supply grants for teachers!

“Knowing teachers regularly pay for items themselves to make sure their students have what they need to learn, we wanted to help take care of that expense for the men and women who do so much for our kids,” said Ricky Rosa, COO of Avalanche Food Group.  “We’re very proud of and grateful to our AFG family and all the customers at our Twin Peaks and Bread Zeppelin restaurants who rounded-up their bill last month to help us show teachers how much they are appreciated, while easing the burden of their out-of-pocket classroom expenses to help our kids thrive.”

Teachers in-need in the Bread Zeppelin and Twin Peaks Restaurant communities of Houston, Beaumont, Bryan, Webster, Shenandoah, and Corpus Christi, Texas, along with Indianapolis and Greenwood, Indiana, are encouraged to apply for classroom supply grant at AvalancheFoodGroup.com/teacher-grant-application before September 30, 2024.  Avalanche Food Group plans to award grants to as many teachers as possible in early October!
