The boba tea franchise has continued to reach new markets throughout the year, landing three new units in the Greater Kansas area for 2025.

Boba Tea Shop, Teaspoon, Brings First-Ever Franchise Units to MidwestTopeka, KS  (RestaurantNews.comTeaspoon, the California-based boba brand that has served over 7 million delightfully unique beverages and that boasts a growing roster of 80+ locations throughout the United States, has officially announced its expansion into the Midwest.

Franchise partners Leslie Lewis and Lisa Keith have secured three new territories in the Greater Kansas market, marking a significant milestone as the brand’s very first franchise sale in the region. Development for these territories is underway, working to open the new locations some time within 2025.

“We’re beyond excited to bring Teaspoon to the Midwest for the first time. Leslie and Lisa’s commitment to the Teaspoon brand aligns perfectly with our vision of making high-quality, unique boba tea accessible to communities everywhere,” said Amy Lai, Teaspoon’s CEO and co- founder. “We are looking forward to what 2025 brings us and can’t wait to celebrate the grand openings of these new locations.”

This deal comes on the heels of Teaspoon’s recent franchise sales in Texas and California, which were announced earlier this year in June. The boba tea franchise has also celebrated the soft openings of their Spring, Texas and Escondido, California locations and the grand opening of its Chino, California store this month.

With a growing presence across the United States, Teaspoon is actively seeking new franchise partners to join its journey of nationwide expansion. Each franchise comes with ongoing support, marketing guidance, and training. Franchise partners will find an approachable, easy- to-operate model, says Lai.

“We’ve worked to create a model that is simple while not compromising on the quality of our products or service. Our model has been validated throughout a diverse set of markets and offers a wonderful business opportunity for aspiring entrepreneurs or investors of all kinds,” she said.
