The Emerald Foods, Inc. sold 34 Wendy’s Restaurants in the Houston Texas Market to HAZA Foods LLC.
(RestaurantNews.com) HAZA Foods LLC. said that it has reached a deal to buy the 34 store Houston market from Emerald Foods Inc. HAZA plans to invest in the current operations and build additional stores.
HAZA Foods LLC., a Houston based 200 plus unit convenience store operator and wholesale fuel distribution company is new to the Wendy’s System. HAZA plans to retain current management to help grow the business thru additional acquisitions and organic growth in the Houston market.
Financial terms were not disclosed.
Emerald Foods, Inc. continues to operate Wendy’s restaurants in Texas and Louisiana. Emerald plans on focusing on their remaining markets and is in the early stages of renovating its existing locations, while also opening new restaurants in their trade areas.
Advanced Restaurant Sales acted as exclusive advisor to Emerald in the valuation of its enterprise and real estate assets, identification of potential acquirors, structuring the transaction, and providing guidance through the closing.
Advanced also assisted HAZA Foods LLC. with financing the acquisition.
