
Silver Spring, MD (RestaurantNews.com) Urban Butcher, a restaurant, butcher shop and meat cellar located in Silver Spring, is excited to announce the new addition of Happy Hour starting Wednesday, July 2nd, 2014.
“Summer brings warm weather and a spirit of celebration,” said Chef/Owner Raynold Mendizabal. “With our daily and extended weekend Happy Hour, we hope to provide the community with a place to enjoy good company and good times – on a regular basis.”
Happy Hour – served at the bar, upcoming patio and communal table – will be available Monday through Friday from 5pm-7:30pm and weekends (Saturday and Sunday) from 11:30am–7:30pm.
Happy Hour specialty cocktails (priced at $5 each) include the White Sangria, Dirty Gibson, Lavender Margarita and Boulevardier. Additionally, $5 select wines by the glass and $5 rotating draft beer will also be offered.
The menu of bar bites feature items such as Beef Empanadas ($4), Butcher’s Meatballs & Melted Provolone ($7), Smoked Bluefish Rillette ($5) and the Happy Hour Meat Cellar Board ($15). Guests may also choose from a selection of Butcher Sandwiches ($10 each; served with fries): Prosciutto Cotto & Provolone, Thick-cut House Pastrami, Hickory Bourbon Pulled Pork BBQ & Smoked Mozzarella and the Butcher’s Burger (All prime local brisket – ground daily).

For those leaving work early this Thursday to get a head start on the long weekend, Happy Hour will begin at 3pm. Additionally, to celebrate the Holiday and to kick off Happy Hour, Urban Butcher is hosting a special 4th of July Happy Hour all day from 11:30am – close. Brunch will also be served on Independence Day from 11:30-5pm.
